October 23: Steady Before the Full

Mawnin', fam. 🌔
Di moon is waxing gibbous tonight, about 94% lit and nearly full. Full moon come Sunday night, so we're just two breaths away now. This is the time when everything feel close but not quite there yet, like a pot of red peas that's almost done. You don't lift di lid every five minutes. You trust di fire and let it finish.
Today's Jamaica Pulse Practice
Sit down easy and breathe in for four, like you're smelling di sea air at Port Royal. Hold for four. Let it out for four, then rest for four before di next breath in. Four corners, steady like a house on a good foundation. Do it four rounds, morning and before bed.
Tonight, look up at di moon and name one thing you're ready to let finish in its own time. Tell yourself, "Mi trust di fire. Mi nah lift di lid."
Today's Affirmation
I am happy in the waiting. I am healthy as I breathe steady. I am wealthy in trust. And I am strong enough to let things finish in their own time.
